On my Daddy's birthday, the whole family got together and the kids decided to play on the big wheels. Little did we know the Big Wheel we grew up on was still around. My dad came out with the biggest smile on his face and let Hudson ride it! It brought back so many memories...I had to try it myself!

Weeeeee!!!!! This Big Wheel has been through 3 boys, a little sister, many broken parts...but...it's still the coolest Big Wheel around! lol

Daddy's Birthday Sleigh Ride

For Duncan's 30th Birthday we headed up to Yosemite! We met some sweet friends at Tenaya Lodge and went on a SLEIGH RIDE! It was SO MUCH FUN!

Hudson loved the bears in the lodge :)

He tried to get us to spend buy him a room :)

2011 Was amazing! Mommy is a full time stay at home mommy and I started my own design business Butterbee Designs! I love being home with my sweetie pie Hudson! Daddy landed his dream job as a Clovis Fire Fighter. We moved into Uncle Adam's house while we look for our own house (still looking). The year seems to go by so quickly, but when we pause and look back on all the memories created, all the moments that take our breath away, make us laugh, cry, or even make us angry...the time really doesn't go by so fast. We are excited to see what 2012 will bring. So far it's already AMAZING!

Reid Christmas

The day after Christmas we headed down south for the Reid Family Christmas!

We had so much fun!

Christmas Eve & Christmas Morning!

We stayed home with our sick Bubba...but, we had fun!

VaVa came over and we made a Gingerbread House!

Hudson helped too!

Traditions...

We left food for the reindeer! Hudson was SO EXCITED abou this :)

And did such a good job!

He put it in the flower pot next to the front door.

and sprinkled it so the reindeer would see!

He wanted to make sure there was enough for all of them :)

Then...We put Santa's cookies out

and read "The Night Before Christmas"

In The Morning...

The Cookies and Milk were GONE!

The stockings were full! Daddy's stocking was on the ground because it was so full!! He's been really good this year!

The Reindeer ate their food!!

Santa brought fun stuff!!

Christmas Parties!

Wow! It has been a fabulous Holiday season and it's still going!! We started with Hudson's first little Christmas party at his friend Waylon's house. It was a Mini & Friends Christmas Party!!

We had so much fun! We made crafts, had yummy food and did a little gift exchange! Thanks to my sweet friend Nicolette for planning such an amazing party for our little ones!

Friday the 23rd we had our Mello Family Christmas.

Poor Hudson was sick and wasn't really in the Christmas mood, but we still had a blast!

Sissa came to see us!! We love her so so so much!

We sang Happy Birthday to Jesus!

The true meaning of the season!

By the end of the night Hudson was feeling a little better and had fun playing with his cousins.

We Love Nana!

A couple of days ago we were invited to a little Christmas gathering. We almost didn't go because Hudson had a little cold, but he needed to get out of the house and so did Mommy!!

It turned out to be SO MUCH FUN!

Hudson just adores his Nana, we are so blessed to have her in our life! It is so much fun to watch the two of them together!

Hudson asked to go outside so OF COURSE, Nana jumped up and said,
"let's go!"

The BEST DAY EVER!!

With the hustle and bustle of the holidays and tons of butterbee designs orders (thank you Jesus!)...I decided to take a day to do NOTHING except FUN WITH HUDSON!!

It was seriously the BEST DAY EVER!

We started by making homemade play dough!

(we made some Christmas ornaments with it ;)

Hudson loved to stir and get all gooey!

Then we painted!

Hudson got to use Uncle Adam's fancy paints and brushes and even painted on a canvas!

He was so serious

I love watching him think

He just melts my heart!

Then...I made him a little container to practice his counting

He was so excited to look at each coin and put it in his bank.

The fun kept going! We had a picnic in front of the Christmas tree and watched a Christmas movie!!

LOVE!!

After nap time, mommy was cooking dinner and Hudson wanted to cook too.

He got his bowl and spoons from the drawer and said he was making soup.

First Big Boy Sandwich

It's no secret that our boy CAN EAT! His appetite definitely reminds me of my brothers when I was little and Duncan can put down some food too!! Big guys have big appetites!

Hudson has had sandwiches before, but this is his first BIG BOY sandwich, not cut into little pieces (dec. 10, 2011).

HE LOVED IT! He ate all of his and some of mommas too!

He was so excited about his sandwich. I love how the littlest things make him giggle!

Felipe Christmas Party

Every year we get together with all the family around Christmas time!

The Felipe side of the family (my mom's side)...and there is A LOT of us! So many that we no longer fit in a house and have to do it at a hall!! Which means SO MUCH FUN! Lots of kids running around, my aunts and mom laughing, the uncles all talking about fishing and all "the boys" my brothers and cousins talking about fishing, hunting, farming etc! It's a Good ol' time!

At any family event you will always find Hudson with Isabella! My youngest niece who absolutely adores Hudson, and the feeling is mutual!

When she walked in at this party Hudson spotted her from across the room and RAN TO HER and wrapped his arms around her legs :)

It was seriously the CUTEST thing EVER!

SANTA CAME!!

He made a special trip to come see all these precious kiddos!

I don't even know how many total, but within this group we have:

"THE ELF"

During Christmas time there are two movies that WE MUST WATCH over and over!!

1. The Christmas Story

2. ELF

So far we've watched the elf 3 times and watched it as a family last night. Mommy & Daddy had popcorn and Hudson had cheerios! All snuggled on the couch! These simple little moments are MY FAVORITE!!

Hudson was so into the movie! He loves when the horses chase Santa at the end! He started jumping and screaming "GO GO GO GO GO!!!" So funny!

Family traditions are so special to me. I love anticipating and getting so excited to do something that is a "tradition". Now that we are a Daddy & Mommy it is even more fun to make new family traditions and to watch Hudson light up when we do them together!

Clovis Christmas Parade

Mommy's Birthday Weekend!

It has become our tradition to make a day trip to Shaver Lake on my birthday :)

So we bundled up, got a hot latte from a little Cafe in Shaver and set out on our adventure.

It was so neat to see the lake so low!

Mommy couldn't get enough squeezes from her little man!

We found a little trail and decided to go explore!

17 Months ...The Little Moments

You are such a handsome boy!

17 Months

17 months ago, you were placed in our arms and our lives have never been the same. From the moment you were born Daddy and I were changed, touched, overwhelmed, full of joy and completely and utterly head over heels in love with you.

3 months old

We have watched you grow into a strong, loving, silly, courageous little boy! You still have your chubby cheeks and thunder thighs, but you are not quite a baby anymore (even though you'll always be our baby!)

6 Months 9 Months

I just came out of your room. I put you to bed and you cried, so I went back in and picked you up. You gave me one of your great big bear hugs and about melted Mommy's heart! So I sat in our rocking chair and sang to you. You grabbed my shirt and just stared at me. I watched you fall asleep so peacefully and gently. Your little hand held on to my shirt the whole time. I ran my fingers through your soft curls and just soaked it all in. Some day you'll be too big for mommy to rock you, some day you will tuck yourself into bed, some day you'll read your baby Goodnight Moon and The Hungry Caterpillar, but for now, I will rock you to sleep and sing you Auntie Robyn's lullaby and the lullaby I wrote for you and I will soak it in, every little second because these little moments that are so simple ... are my favorite.

These little moments are what makes Mommy cry happy tears because You are the most precious gift that the Lord has ever given us. He made you so perfect and so unique. Your smile that wrinkles your nose, your ears that look just like Daddy's, your dark chocolate eyes and golden curls, your giggles and screams...Hudson, you are the perfect you!

You love to take out the trash
You do THE BEST animal noises! Our favorites are your rooster, horse and monkey and elephant is good too...they are all good!

Every day ... every moment is such a treasure! You make the simplest things fun and the darkest days bright. You have a way of making people smile. The Lord knows every little thing about you, we pray that as you grow you will always seek God's plan for your life and trust in Him for everything.

We love you so much Hudson, You are our little love!

We Love November!!

We Love November!

The weather FINALLY feels like fall and we've been having some fun around our house!

VaVie came to visit! We had so much fun!

Hudson loves his VaVie so much

Daddy took Hudson to the river to throw rocks!

They had a blast!

The Christmas Catalogue Came!! With each page he turned,

Hudson said, "WOW!" He's excited for Christmas!!

Hudson's horse needed to be moved! Instead of riding him,

Hudson decided it would be easier to carry him!

Such a strong little man!

Always Laughing! Such a Goof Ball!

This Horsey is more of Hudson's size now!

Hudson climbs on the chair so he can jump on Daddy's back!

Hudson's new accomplishment! Coloring!!

He loves it!!

Tonight, I said, "Hudson, go get your jammies"

He opened his drawer and very carefully pulled out all of these items!

I asked him if this was what he wanted to wear to bed, he said, "Ya!"

So funny! (notice the belt too)!! He thought he was so cool :)

Hudson, you are 16 months now and weigh 27.4 lbs! You are SO MUCH FUN and Such a sweet boy too! You love looking at the moon and playing with Jack. You are so responsible and always remember to feed Jack and get his leash to take him on a walk! You know how to put your dirty clothes in the hamper and also will pick up trash and throw it in the trash can. Today you even came in to mommy's sewing room and emptied the trash for me! Such a sweet boy!

Yesterday, while watching Monday Night Football, daddy threw you the football and you CAUGHT IT all by yourself!!! Daddy and Uncle Adam started going crazy! They were so excited!

You are growing so fast and are so smart. It is amazing to watch you discover and learn. You love to read books! One of your favorite books is "The Hungry Caterpillar" when we got to the part where it says, "the warm sun came out and...pop.. (YOU SAY POP ALL BY YOURSELF!) before mommy reads it! It's pretty cute!

We are so thankful that the Lord put you in our arms. We pray for you and know that God will form you to be whatever He wants you to be. It is truly a dream and prayer come true to watch you grow and to hear you call our names. Being a Mommy & Daddy is truly amazing!

A little Sneak Peak of Hudson's Halloween Costume!

Our little rooster woke up not feeling well today. Hopefully he'll be ok to go trick or treating tomorrow!

He's been practicing "trick or treat", it's pretty darn cute!

A sweet friend gave us a chicken costume, so I decided to turn it into a rooster by adding tail feathers, red on the tummy, a beak and some eyes!

So, we spent the afternoon outside playing in the water and playing with our sweet dog Jack!

It was so much fun!!

Mommy's Helper

The weather was so nice the other day, I decided to mow the lawn. Hudson was so excited to help!

With his little ears protected, I held him in one arm and he helped me push the lawn mower! It was a great workout and my little man had a blast!

Fall Crafts Make Me Smile!

A friend told me about "pinterest" if you haven't used it...GO PLAY!! HURRY RUN!! It is a great way to get ideas for...well just about everything! You can create boards with inspirations and ideas. It's so much fun!

Well, a sweet friend Kelsey and I decided to put our pinterest ideas to use! We had a craft day and created something BEAUTIFUL! It was so much fun!

I absolutely LOVE burlap...the texture, the feel it gives a room (or a door) I just love it!

So when I saw some samples online, I pinned them to my pinterest board and then

created my own version, in my own style!

We chose to do the fabric flowers in fall colors for this season, we attached safety pins

to the back so that they can be changed out for each season!!

For the Christmas season I will change them out with Christmas colored fabric flowers:)

I already have the material, just need another craft day!

Here is the finished product!

Some close-ups of the fabric flowers! So easy and so beautiful!

We also made flowers using burlap scraps and I added a few corduroy flowers to add some different texture

This makes me smile!

A simple chocolate satin bow!

I can't wait to make more! I might even add them

as a new item for Butterbee Designs!

Our family is spread ALL OVER the place! I'm so blessed to have my "Mello" close, but Dunc's family is spread out all! But....Auntie Megan & Uncle Joe recently moved to MONTEREY which seems SO CLOSE!! Hudson and I went to visit a couple of weeks ago and Grandma and Pop Pop (Hudson's new name for Grandpa) were there too!!

It was a quick trip, but SO MUCH FUN! We all walked to farmer's mkt, Hudson danced and ate a TON OF STRAWBERRIES ;)

We also walked down to the pier and enjoyed the beautiful weather and all the sea lions!!

Hudson was amazed by the boats and the barking sea lions ;)

Love this! He was working so hard to get as close as possible to the sea lions!

We loved Harvest Hollow Ranch so much....we had to go back with friends!!!

For our second trip to Harvest Hollow we brought some friends with us!

We recently started a new life group through church with some new and old friends.

We are so blessed to already call them friends! They are AWESOME!!

Oh my....this boy melts my heart!

Pumpkin Patch Fun

Harvest Hollow Ranch & Cousins!!

So Much Fun!

Every year my parents have a little Harvest party! It's a good excuse to all get together and eat some good food:) This year we started the day out at Harvest Hollow Ranch! What a BLAST!

The kids played in the corn, walked through the corn maze, shot the pumpkin cannon and all picked a special pumpkin.

The day has finally come!! Hudson is officially a cowboy!
Hudson has sat on my horse many times, but has never officially been on a ride. Today, my little man became a cowboy! I saddled up Honey~B, my horse of 15 years! (I can't believe I've had her so long!) and went for a little ride myself, and then it was time....Hudson climbed up on Honey~B's back held on the the reins and grabbed the horn and off we went. He was a Natural!! With his little cowboy hat on and a big grin...off we went. Mommy lead Honey~B, and Daddy walked along side (Safety first!) :)

Music with Papa

Hudson has always had a special interest in music. Papa (Dunc's dad) is SUPER TALENTED!

He plays the piano, clarinet, recorder and is also learning to play the bagpipes!

(He probably does even more than I even know!)

So every time we visit, Hudson loves to sit on Papa's lap and play the piano! It's one of the most precious things I've ever seen. Papa is so patient and Hudson LOVES learning from him.

Thanks to "Pop" we got to take Hudson to Disneyland!

Oh my...I was seriously so excited, I didn't know if I was going to be able to sleep the night before! Luckily I did. I'm still like a little kid when it comes to things like Disneyland, Christmas, birthdays and well anything fun! I get SO EXCITED!

15 Months is SO MUCH FUN!!

We Love Our New Home!

We are LOVING our new home!!! We are so blessed to have such an amazing brother who opened his home to us! We've been going on a lot of walks, playing in the yard, dancing in the living room, cooking...just having FUN!

Hudson loves having SO MUCH attention from Mommy, Daddy & Uncle Adam!

Hudson has claimed HIS chair! It used to be Uncle Adam's favorite chair

but it now belongs to Hudson :)

He climbs up in it all by himself and relaxes:)

What we've been up to...

We are finally moved out of our Very first home and have started a new chapter!

We moved in temporarily with Adam (Duncan's big brother) until we buy a house of our own. What a blessing it is to wake up and have Jack (our dog) here with us and to be able to go on a walk with all 3 of my boys, Dunc, Hudson & Jack :) I love them so much!

Here's a little Update in pictures of what we've been up to!

Hudson is 14 1/2 months old and is growing like a weed! Teeth are popping up everywhere and he's been a little grouchy! I don't blame him...poor guy!

Hudson, you are 14 months old now and such a sweet boy! You LOVE all animals, but you really love dogs, and looking at birds.

You have 3 teeth on bottom that are all the way in, and about 6 more coming in!! Your top two teeth are poking through!

You are wearing size 5 shoes and most of your clothes are 18 months now. We still squeeze you into your 12 months clothes, the pants fit...the shirts are muscle tees!

You Weigh 25 lbs!

You try to walk so fast! Soon you'll be RUNNING!

You have little curls in the back of your head!

It's the CUTEST thing EVER!

You love trees, and anything outside

It doesn't take you long to find the mud! You LOVE getting dirty!

13 Months...Hudson's been up to a lot!

Hudson is now 13 months! He is considered a TODDLER now! That's just crazy to me! I still call him my baby, and probably will for a long time!

Hudson...

You weigh 23.5 lbs

You wear 18 months and some 24 months clothing

You are in a size 4 diaper

Size 5 shoe!

You LOVE LOVE LOVE to eat and recently started LOVING tomatoes and cottage cheese!

You talk ALL THE TIME! Your babbles are so sweet to our ears!

Here are some words you say...Thank you, momma, dadda, va va, vo vo, ga ga (grandma), bawk bawk (chicken), Jack (our dog), Adam, Nana, boo boo (when you want to nurse), ta (your shuita...don't know how to spell that! It's paci in Portuguese) (these are some of your favorites and some of your newest)

You know some animal sounds too! Cow (moo), horse (you say eeee and blow your lips at the end), you can do pig and dog sometimes, you know that a chicken says (bawk bawk) and you just learned monkey!

You don't do these all the time, you have to be in the "right" mood to perform! We tried to get it on video tonight but as soon as you heard it turn on, YOU STOPPED! Little stinker!

You can point to: nose, eyes, ears. but you like to point to mommy or daddy's instead of your own. You try but your finger seems to get lost while you're trying to find the parts :) it's so cute!!

You still are napping twice a day and I think we just figured out why you were crying when we put you down!! You like the light to be ON when we put you in your crib and then when we say good night we turn it off. Before, we turned it off then put you into bed....I don't know why, but it worked! NO MORE TEARS!! (I hope and PRAY that this little trick continues to work!)

You are the silliest, cutest, SWEETEST little guy in the whole world! You are such a love bug and give hugs and kisses all the time! Here are some pictures of what you've been up to!

We're Going to The Zoo Zoo Zoo, How about You You You....

Hudson's first trip to the zoo was SO MUCH FUN! Our sweet friend Kim and her handsome little guy Asher invited us to go and we couldn't wait! Hudson loved all of the animals and so did mommy:) We are going back tomorrow with Daddy this time!!

We Love Camping!

We have been looking forward to a family camping trip since Hudson was born! We didn't go last year because our boy was too little, so this year we COULDN'T WAIT!!!

Campsite 125 was our first official FAMILY camping spot!

The Fishing Miracle!

The Fishermen!

On July 3rd my brother and his family have a tradition of going to Shaver Lake for the day. Fishing, fireworks and most importantly, my niece Samantha's birthday! Her birthday is July 3, and usually falls on the Shaver Lake firework show! 2 years in a row the whole lake sings her happy birthday! This is the first year we were able to join them and we had a BLAST!

The Fishing Miracle.....

Lately, we've been catching some HUGE trout at Shaver. So it was no surprise to continue when we all went on Sam's birthday. Sam's litte friend had caught a pretty nice trout already and Sam had caught a little one. She was hoping she'd get a big one!

Sam and her friend were sharing a pole, trolling. Phillip was fishing with Colt, TT (that's me) fixed up Lukes pole so he could fish too. Cybil and Luke were fishing. VoVo (my dad), Duncan and Hudson were relaxing.... Ok....here it goes!!

All of the sudden, Sam's friend says, "I think I might have a fish!" I ran over to check her pole..."feels like there might be a little one on there, go ahead and reel it in". Sam and her friend took turns reeling the fish in. As it got closer, the whole boat started to freak out a little...THIS WAS A BIG ONE!! The girls were giggling, screaming, the line was going out, getting loose then coming in. I had the net and was waiting for it to get close enough, but before it got close enough...SNAP! The line broke off! The trolling rig and the BIG ONE were gone! The girls were so sad, that would have been the biggest trout ever to be brought in on VoVo's new boat and it was Sam's birthday!

About 3 minutes later, the line on Luke's little pole started getting pulled out! Cybil thought maybe they were hung up on something so she handed the pole to Phillip. "LUKE, YOU GOT ONE!!!!!" yelled Phil

This is it! The tiny pole caught this huge fish!

The hook from the little pole snagged the trolling rig and there it was!

As my 2 year old nephew reeled in his tiny pole, everyone on the boat saw the same thing!!!! A SHINY TROLLING RIG AND A HUGE FISH!!!!! IT WAS THE SAME FISH!!!!!!

They were SO EXCITED!

I have never heard so many adults screaming with excitement like little kids! It was AWESOME! They got the fish in the boat and we all couldn't believe it! We knew that God decided Sam needed her birthday fish!

Sam held it up for everyone to see at the lake 2 1/2 pound 21 1/2 inch trout! All the fisherman were very impressed to hear that a 10 year old caught this fish, it got away and her 2 year old baby brother caught it again! What a special 10th birthday that she will always remember!

"Got One!!" This is probably going to be Hudson's next little phrase that he says! When we go fishing with my dad and brother Phil, these are the words that you hear ALL DAY! We've always been very blessed when it comes to fishing, and Hudson's first fishing trip was one of the best ever!
