11 Months!

11 Months!

I had to take the opportunity to do a little photo shoot on Hudson's 11 month birthday :) So, I put on his boots (actually his buddy Waylon's boots that we borrowed), jeans, belt & hat and off we went to Nana Carol's house to play in the horse pasture!

I have so much fun taking pictures of my silly little boy! He is such a ham! Good thing for digital cameras, because I take A TON of pictures!

Here's a little sample of Hudson's 11 month photos!

Hudson, here are your 11 month stats:
At the Dr. you weighed 22 lbs, but on our home scale you are 23 lbs
You are 29 3/4 inches long! Your pants are all getting to be too short!
You eat SO MUCH!
You are wearing 12-18 month clothes and most of your 12 month clothes are getting too small.
You put your arms in the air when we say "touchdown"
You try to say words that we say. So far you've said, "football, touchdown, bird, ball, poo, dadda, momma, nana, vava, papa, bye bye, bat" When you said football and touchdown, Daddy and Mommy couldn't believe it, so then we said it again and so did you! It sounded like "bopbaa" and "tu-dow"

You are ALWAYS laughing and smiling
You still love to push your truck and your bat all over the house
You discovered toilet paper and like to pull it when mommy is getting ready in the morning.
You make snow with it and then you put it in the trash can!
"Look Mommy!"

You love to visit Daddy at the fire station (we just had our first dinner with daddy at station 4 tonight (5/21/2011)!"

You put your feet in the pool for the first time yesterday and loved it! You were splashing and wanted to get in!

Your hair is growing! It's really light and still barely there, but we notice it!
Gabby & Hudson playing drums with bowls and spatulas!

This....Well....You pooped it out! Grose I know, but I had to document it!
You ate this shoe, we didn't know until...well...until you pooped it out!

Hudson & His Buddy Peyton

You love to ride on Daddy's Shoulders
I love you both more than you will ever know!

Being silly with Mommy

We're planning your FIRST BIRTHDAY! It's going to be at VoVo & VaVa's house on June 11th. We are having so much fun planning it and can't wait to watch you eat your first cake!!

We love you so much buddy! You make our world a better place!

Dedicating our Sweet Hudson

Our Family Verses

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your path." Proverbs 3:5-6

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

"...let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven." Matthew 5:16

On Sunday, May 1, 2011 we dedicated Hudson to our Lord and Savior. It was such a precious moment to stand before our friends and family and pray for our sweet boy with them supporting us.

We were so blessed to have Jerrod Rumley dedicate Hudson

Uncle Adam & Daddy love this boy!

After it was all done, as I layed in bed and was overwhelmed with love, joy and happiness! The day was so special, family came from far to celebrate Hudson being dedicated. The sun shined all day as we BBQd and enjoyed one another. We have been so blessed with such an amazing family and then God brings more people into our lives! Our friends are truly our family and we are just so thankful!

We wanted Hudson to have God parents, and in praying about who they should be we couldn't just pick 2. One of my best friends from high school, Joni and her husband Jeff are so special to us. They are silly and fun and so are we....we asked them to be Hudson's God parents over dinner one night and they graciously accepted.

Hudson's God Parents!! Joni (TT) & Jeff

About 2 years ago, my horse injured herself and we moved her up to Clovis so we could take care of her. A coworker of mine had a place and so we started boarding her there...little did we know that Carol would become one of the most important people in our lives. She became a close friend and quickly turned into family. Hudson LOVES her and so do we. We wanted to make her family "officially" so she is also Hudson's God Parent, his "God Nana". We know that our family and friends will stand beside us as we raise our sweet Hudson giving us encouragement when we need it, and giving our Hudson love always.

Hudson's God Nana
I was putting Hudson into his jammies this evening, singing him a little song and I just started crying...not an all out Whale...but just soft tears, happy ones :) and as I write this here they come again. My whole life I've dreamed of being a wife and a whole life. I don't remember a time that I didn't have that dream, and as I sat putting his little jammies on and kissing his wiggly toes it hit me, my dreams have come true. They may be simple dreams, but their my dreams.

I prayed for my husband long before I was old enough to get married. My prayer was always that no matter where he was, near or far that God was shaping us to fit like a puzzle and that He would bring him into my life. I prayed for Hudson long before he was in my womb that he would be a strong, handsome, kind, man of God who would shine God's light for all to see.

We have seen so many dedications at church, and not until we dedicated our own baby did I really "get it". It's always cute to see the little one on stage and to see their picture up, but when it's your own it really means something special. We are trusting Our Lord with Hudson's whole life, and trusting Him to guide us in raising the most important person in our lives. Now we just have to LISTEN TO HIM!

Thank you Lord for all you have blessed us with, for giving us our sweet baby boy and allowing us to watch him grow!

Next month our baby boy will be ONE! I can't even believe it! What an amazing joy it has been watching him grow! It's the best job on Earth to be Hudson's mommy! I am so blessed!

Our Prayer for you Hudson...
that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ - to the glory and praise of God.  Philippians 1:9-11

Until Next Time...
