9 Months!

NINE months in my womb sure seemed to go a lot slower than Nine Months in my arms!

Hudson turned 9 months old on March 18th and he is more fun than EVER! Crawling faster every day, standing up on EVERYTHING, walking while holding on to his little fire truck push toy. He is a little goof ball just like mommy & daddy and brings more joy to our lives than we ever thought possible!

Hudson here are some stats for ya...
On March 18th you...
weighed 20lbs 7oz
28.5 inches long
You were in the 50th percentile for height and weight and your head was in the 100th percentile :)
The Dr. was very happy to see all the things you are accomplishing and told mommy it was ok to give you cheerios even though you don't have teeth (I was scared) :)

You wear size 3 diapers but soon will be moving to size 4...size 3 can't hold in your giant poops! ha ha
You wear size 3 shoes and 9-12 months clothes (mostly 12 months)
You still wake up at least once at night and need a diaper change and momma nurses you...your diapers literally explode if we don't change you!
You wake up for the day between 8-9 and take naps around 11 and 2
You go to bed around 8

SO SILLY!

You eat meat now...blended of course! You like chicken :)
You LOVE cheerios and have mastered feeding them to yourself
You can feed yourself with a spoon if we scoop it for you.
You are working on drinking water from a sippy cup
You are still nursing about 6 times a day

You have the BEST LAUGH EVER!
You get so excited when Daddy gets home from work, your whole body does a silly little wiggle when he walks in the door ;)

You fed mommy a cheerio for the first time on March 24th and thought it was so fun to share.
You've said momma before but on March 25th you looked at mommy while on Daddy's lap and said Momma and reached for me!!!! OH MY GOODNESS...I THINK MY HEART MELTED RIGHT TO THE FLOOR!

YOU ARE VERY SERIOUS ABOUT YOUR FOOD!
YOU LOOK LIKE A LIL' FIREMAN IN YOUR HIGH CHAIR!

Yesterday, March 26th Daddy noticed something very special...Your first tooth is coming in! The bottom right :) You haven't been fussy, but sometimes at night you cry a little in your sleep. The biggest change we've noticed is your GIANT POOPS!! Last night I awoke to a little cry and went to check on you, I picked you up and to my surprise....YOU WERE COVERED, AND I MEAN COVERED IN POOP!!!! It was seeping through the buttons of your jammies....I still don't know how you managed to do that but it was ALL OVER! You got a bath in the middle of the night, daddy changed your sheets and you went back to sleep :) We had a good laugh...never a dull moment!

BATH TIME!

It's so much fun watching you grow!

I look outside and see flowers blooming, trees blossoming, everything that was brown turning vibrant green...and I look beside me and see our little man doing the same! GROWING LIKE A WEED!
Oh, how precious the ordinary little moments!

One of my favorite things to do is to sit outside with my camera and watch Hudson explore and take in every little moment.
The way he looks at a blade of grass, or looks in awe at how the wind blows a leaf across the lawn. These simple little moments make me fall in love with LIFE and JESUS in a whole new way.

Hudson & his buddy Jaxon Fragoso

Watching our baby grow and seeing him enjoy and observe God's precious little wonders is truly breath taking.

Hudson's first bubbles! March 13, 2011

In 3 days our little love will be 9 months old! How amazing is that? Although some things seem like it was forever ago, like being pregnant...the first time I held Hudson in my arms, the first time he smiled, the first time he rolled over, crawled, said "dada", had his first bite of food....seems like just a blink ago!

I read this quote on a blog today and it was just perfect...

This picture makes me melt!

"I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens, but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string."  L.M. Montgomery

How beautifully and perfectly said!
When Hudson got his bath after this orchard adventure, he had blossoms in his diaper!

Duncan and I are simple people...the little things make us the happiest! We love just being together as a family... laughing, being silly, being outside, going to baseball games...well any sporting event makes Duncan beyond happy :) I look forward to family camping trips, fishing, catching frogs, teaching Hudson to ride, watching Dunc teach Hudson all about sports and to "catch with his eyes!" when catching a ball.

The Loves of my life!

I am having one of those "my cup runneth over" moments! I look at my AMAZING husband who is my very best friend, and our perfect little boy and just want to run as fast as I can to Jesus and give him a huge hug! I know I don't deserve all he has given me, and sometimes I can hardly believe out of all the mommies in the world he chose me to be Hudson's mommy. Have you ever thought about that? Your child was hand picked just for You! WOW! Makes me smile :)

Yummy!

I am forever grateful and truly feel blessed!

I am enjoying staying home with Hudson and truly treasure every moment! My little business
butterbee designs is off to a fantastic start! With lots of my tie onesies, burp cloths, tutus and personalized onesies being ordered...I've been busy! I just finished my first wedding invitations and am working on my second! It is amazing how the Lord works! When we decided that I was going to stay home, we prayed that the Lord would open doors so that it would be possible if that was HIS will. And...doors have opened wide! I will be getting my business license very soon and hopefully expanding my little business as time goes on.

Hanging out in the alfalfa field!

Duncan is LOVING his new job as a Clovis Fire Fighter! What a dream come true! Sometimes I forget that it's really real! It was a very long journey for him and we always prayed that God would put us where he wanted us! We hoped it would be here in Clovis or Fresno but didn't think that would happen...and IT DID!

Our little Hudder Butter!

Our newest adventure we are on is beginning to look for a home to call our own!!!! We are so excited to be able to have a house one day and know that the right one is out there somewhere just waiting for the Reids :)

Well...that's a little update of Our Story! Hope your day is beautiful!

Oh...I ALMOST FORGOT!
