Another amazing birthday, another beautiful Thanksgiving!

I have ALWAYS loved the Holiday season! It starts off with my birthday and continues through to Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and Duncan's birthday! I never new I could love the holiday season more than I already do until NOW!

Hudson once again has made even the happiest days HAPPIER! My birthday started with a knock on our door from my momma! She surprised us with pumpkin spice lattes and a basket full of bagels, movies and books for our little Hudder Muffin! There is something about my momma...she has always had a way of making our birthdays so special and she sure made me feel special this year! Thanks momma!!

Duncan surprised me with a trip to the snow!! It was beautiful, and to make it even more special, it was Hudson's first time to the snow:) He loved it so much! We took Jack too, he ran all through the snow while Hudson laughed at him. It truly is the little things in life that bring the most joy.

The loves of my life!

We had lunch at a little restaurant in Shaver and planned on going to dinner just the two of us when we got home. But...I decided that I wanted to snuggle up in bed with both of my boys and watch a movie instead. It was so much fun! I truly feel blessed to have such a loving husband and the sweetest baby boy in the world!

Hudson was so happy to be at the snow!

Duncan and Hudson got me such a precious gift! Duncan had a necklace engraved with Hudson James Reid on the front and his birthdate on the back and Hudson got me a jewelry box that reads "Thank you for being such a great mom" Love Hudson! I love my boys so much!!

Until Next Time...

Dear Hudson

A lot has happened since our last blog...

Hudson, you are growing like a little weed! I'll start by telling you about your first Halloween! I must say mommy and daddy were very proud to be bananas with you as our little monkey! You trick or treated some of our friend's houses and our last visit was to Uncle Adam's house. Everyone said you
were the cutest monkey ever!

Today you are 4 months 3 weeks and 4 days old, (21 weeks). Every time I look at your sweet face and hear your amazing giggle or coo I can't imagine life without you.  You have become such an important little person to us and our lives have never been better because of YOU!

Last Sunday we were in a little car accident. A drunk driver rear ended us while we were at a stop light. The first thing that came into mine and daddy's minds was you. We were fine, and you were fine, but nothing else in the whole world mattered at that moment but you. We didn't care about the damage to our car, or who's fault it was...we just cared about your safety. You cried for about 15 seconds because you were sleeping and it startled you, but after that you were smiling. We called the ambulance to check you and they were so nice. They checked you and said you were just fine. Mommy took your picture with the paramedics because they were so nice and I told them I had to post it on your blog :) Silly mommy! I'm waiting for T Phillip to send me the pictures and I will put it on here for you to see when you're big.

Since our little accident you've been having a little trouble sleeping. We took you to Dr. Krogstad for her to check you and she said you are just fine but maybe a little stressed due to the accident. When we took you to the Dr. they weighed and measured you and guess what?...You weighed 14lbs and were 25 inches long! You grew a half inch in 3 weeks and gained almost a pound and a half! Dr. Krogstad was very happy! She said "who is this little fat baby?" It was music to mommy's ears!  I took Dr. Krogstad's advice and pumped up the fat in my diet and you sure are liking it!

Lately you are not sleeping through the night like you were and even your naps have been a little tough. You want midnight snuggles and a snack.  Vavie came over today and told mommy I need to let you cry a little so that you will sleep. It was hard but at your nap today you cried for just a little bit then fell asleep for over 2 hours! Your next nap was right on schedule and back to normal!! Mommy put you in your crib awake and you fell asleep all by yourself!! I guess VaVie knows what she's talking about :) So hopefully tonight you will be back on your sleep schedule and sleep good so mommy isn't a zombie!

Hudson, you have know idea how much you bless our lives every day. You are our dream come true. Here are some things you're doing now!

*You wear size 2 diapers and they are getting a little snug already!
*You make raspberries with your mouth
*You love story books and are beginning to turn the page
*You can sit up for a little bit if we help you get to the "sit up" position
*You give VaVie kisses on her cheeks
*You love to snuggle when you're sleepy
*You laugh and coo and make all kinds of noise! (Me and daddy think you said mama once)  he he he
*You still are a nursing boy and you are loving mommy's new fatty milk!
*You are ticklish
*You like to play with your football (daddy is very proud)
*You love when Uncle Adam comes to play with you (He babysat you the other night for the first time!)
*You are a big pooper! Lately you poop 4-6 times a day!
*You're poop smells like movie butter popcorn! I'm not kidding! Daddy discovered this :)
*You are wearing 3-6 months clothes but sometimes 9 months if they have feet on them! You're long :)
*You always smile at people and try to get them to smile back at you (that's called flirting)
*You love when you get visitors (grandma came to visit all the way from Santa Barbara!)
*You are starting to grab at our food and drinks
*You love to grab mommy's hair
*When you fall asleep you hold on to mommy's shirt (melts my heart!)

These are just some of the magnificent things you are doing right now! You are our Sunshine, our joy and our love!
